The "Sabai Cup" is a 4BBB stableford event that we play for over two days of the tour. The hotel we stay in donated the trophy as well as 4 nights accommodation to each of the winning pair to come back and defend the trophy. The event was played at Burapha Country Club playing all 36 holes at the course.

On the first day, 50 points was leading the field and no one was more surprised to see Ron Fletcher and Tim Buxton leading the field than both Ron and Tim. Ron usually is a regular on getting the NAGA Hat and Tim has never played golf with grass greens, where he is from they are all sand greens !!

Paul Gover and Ken Gordon alos had 50 points but all the news was Ron and Tim.

Second day at Burapha off the Blue Tees sorted the field out, previous winners Brad Gale and Michael Burch had a run at the line but Tim and Rons second day score of 43 points had them win by 4 shots

Day 1 - Golf Course - Khao Kheow - Winner - Kevin Atkinson- 38 Points

Newcomer to golf in Thailand Kevin Atkinson, shows the regulars how to golf his ball and has 38 points around a difficult Pete Dye designed coures. We did a count of lost golf balls here and the count was 97 balls !

Our tour handicapper Andy Hancock has 37 points and has him in second place and will be seeded in the last groups tomorrow.

Day 2 - Golf Course - Laem Chabang- Winner - Brad Gale- 36 Points

Brad is a regular each March at our tournament, and after being seeded in the last group, ripped his opposition apart, carding a respectable 36 points and takin the money in first place.

Special note for second place was Paul "Two Caddies" Gover, who got is nickname from the laem Chabang course. TC had 36 points also but was beaten on a countback ( his caddy said he didnt deserve to win)
