Daily Winners

Day 1 - Golf Course - Siam Plantation- Winner - Bhavesh Shah- 41 Points

First time visitor to our tours Bhavesh hails from Singapore. On his application form he hoped he could join us with his 18 handicap as you have to show proficience on the driving range before being allowed out on the golf course. Well is proficiency was better than everyone elses and his 41 points was a great way to start the event.

Peter Strangman has 38 points and has to be happy with second but took a heap of cash from his mate Bob Burton

Day 2 - Golf Course - Laem Chabang - Winner - Ron Davis- 39 Points

Laem Chabang from the blue tees usually sees the scoring come back up. From the first tee on the Mountain course, it doesnt look like you can fit the ball onto the fairway. Newcomer Ron davis has 39 points and sits in the clubhouse while others get wet from th eafternoon shower. Play is halted for 20 minutes and resumes, only to see rons score hold out as th etop score

Jan Doyle comes in with 38 points and takes second place. Winston ( her husband) says if Jan would use her putter off the green she would have had more !

Tip.

If your wife beats you on the course, you cant tell her what to do !!!

Day 3 - Golf Course - Thai Country Club- Winner - Mark Cullen- 41 Points

Yet another new comer on the podium. Mark Cullen hails for NSW, and finally hits his straps at one of the more exclusive golf courses in Bangkok. His 41 points is a top score around this championship course.

Bob Burton took second place beaten on a countback, but he was happy as he won back all of his money that he lost to Peter Strangman on the first day.

Today was also the day we played the Reds Vs the Yellows and in a tight match coming down to the last match the Yellow won. Congradulations to team captain Shane Morris

Day 4 - Golf Course - Siam Old Course- Winner - Mark Waddell- 39 Points

Michael Waddell had been in Thailand 2 weeks prior to this tournament started and had a few rounds already under his (large) belt. 39 points around Siam Old Course is a great score some were even suggesting that he was chemically enhanced, his wife said he wasnt, but under our tournament conditions, a test was done and was found to be 70% Singha and 25% Pad Thai, the other 5% was deemed to be artificial stimulants that the rest of the field was on anyway so it didnt matter !

Peter Strangman was back with 38 points with avengence getting his funds back from Bob again. Is there nothing sweeter than winning money off your friends ??

Sabai Cup Winners

The "Sabai Cup" is a 4BBB stableford event that we play for over two days of the tour. The hotel we stay in donated the trophy as well as 4 nights accommodation to each of the winning pair to come back and defend the trophy. The event was played at Siam Plantation one day and Laem Chabang Country Club the other day.

On the first day, the husband and wife team of Winston and Jan Doyle blew the field away with 54 points on the first day where it looked like 47 points was going to take day honours with only 3 cards to be handed.

Second day at Laem Chabang saw the Doyles come back to the field with 43 points but the lead was too much and they won by 10 shots from Mark Pearson and Bhavesh Shah
